- Learning: Traditional Japanese construction techniques
- Documentation: Architectural drawings and 3D modeling
What you'll do
- Document existing akiya structures through detailed architectural drawings
- Participate in hands-on renovation and restoration work
- Learn traditional Japanese joinery and construction techniques
- Create 3D models and architectural plans for renovation projects
- Collaborate with local craftsmen and construction partners
- Attend construction site visits and project meetings
- Research historical building methods and materials
- Develop portfolio of architectural documentation and analysis
Who we are looking for
- Architecture student (3rd year or above) or recent graduate
- Basic knowledge of architectural drawing and design software
- Interest in traditional and sustainable architecture
- Physical ability to participate in construction activities
- Attention to detail and documentation skills
- Respect for traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage
- Willingness to learn through hands-on experience
- Basic English communication skills
- Previous experience with CAD software preferred
