Elevate your social media skills with our dynamic Social Media Internship. This hands-on experience will immerse you in content creation while showcasing the beauty of rural Japan and AKIYA2.0's mission.
You'll work directly with our marketing team to create engaging content for our growing social media presence while exploring traditional Japanese architecture and culture.
- Duration: 2 to 3 months (flexible based on availability)
- Location Options: Remote work or on-site in Japan
- Stipend: Monthly allowance + travel support (for on-site positions)
- Activities: 2-6 monthly house visits and cultural experiences (for Japan-based positions)
What you'll do
- Capture and document AKIYA2.0 experiences through photography and videography
- Create 15+ short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Manage daily posting schedule across AKIYA2.0 and partner social accounts
- Engage with online community and respond to comments/messages
- Participate in 2-6 monthly house visits and renovation projects (Japan-based positions)
- Collaborate with Japan Travel for promotional tours and content
- Document cultural experiences and local community interactions
- Create engaging captions and storytelling content
Who we are looking for
- Currently enrolled in university or recent graduate
- Strong social media presence and understanding of current trends
- Experience with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
- Basic photography and video editing skills
- Creative storytelling abilities and eye for visual content
- Enthusiasm for Japanese culture and rural tourism
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Basic English proficiency; Japanese language skills are a plus
- Comfortable with travel and living in rural settings (for on-site positions)
